Hi, hope someone can help with this one. My little 7yr old had a bad case of sickness in the car and puked up (sorry) all over the dash area, radio, air conn unit and surrounding area was quite messy. I cleaned it up probably unwisely with sponge and water and paper towel, although I was quite carefull around electrical areas. After this the radio seemed to be stuck in position with CFM on the display which never went away even with the engine off, key out and left overnight. I hoped it would go off after an hour. I disconnected the battery lead hoping to be able to reset or something but now it doesnt light up at all. Could this be a blown fuse? or is it more serious. If it is the fuse, which one and where do I find it.

thanks.

My galaxy is a 2003 TD ghia, not sure what model radio unit is, but it does have a 6 cd multichanger in the rear and no mp3.

I am assumeing that you have the ford 5000 model???..has a cassette slot aswell??

you can take the head unit out (make sure you have the keycode)..and try cleaning very gently with cotton buds and water to see if you missed any little globules of yop which get into every nook and cranny.

Could be a blown fuse but ive no idea which one.Might be worth checking that nothing got into the electrics behind the headunit.
